To support this, our business unit SAP S/4HANA Consumer Industries Cloud focuses on building new cloud products for customers in the Consumer Product, Retail, Wholesale and Life Science industries.

With a view of Lake Constance, the SAP office at Tägerwilen is home to a team of domain and engineering experts. Our focus is on forecasting, planning and replenishment uses cases in Retail and Consumer industries. In addition to the regular setup of Scrum teams, the engineering team includes data science experts to develop and make use of state-of-the-art scientific concepts. According to the international setup of development projects, we are collaborating with teams located in Germany, Canada, India, China and the United States.

In your role as junior software engineer, you will directly contribute to the development of new products and features. You will work on all phases of the software development lifecycle and use the Scrum methodology and best practices of agile software development.



You will be working in a cross-functional Scrum team. You will contribute to the implementation and release of new products and product updates. More specifically, your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Analyze and understand business requirements and processes.
  • Design and specify software components in accordance with a high-level architecture.
  • Plan, implement, and test software units, their integration, and the overall solution, using suitable tools and automation frameworks.

Our product stack mainly relies on:

  • SQL
  • C++
  • Java
  • Kubernetes


Tools include:

    • Python in automation frameworks
    • Jenkins for continuous integration
    • Gerrit and Git as source control systems
    • Jira and Github for team collaboration


Skills that we are looking for

  • Knowledge of object-oriented SW design and programming, i.e. Java, C++
  • Knowledge of database integration with SQL and object relational mapping tools
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • German (mainly spoken)

  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent
